How long is Easter holidays at school in the UK?

Can you get suspended for smoking If you are on school holidays ?

• My friend is freaking out, he was seen by a teacher with a cigarette in his mouth on the easter holidays, however he had been involved in a few revision classes at school on this day but was not in uniform so he is very worried I reckon he won't especially as the teacher likes him but not sure what to say to him or get his hopes up. What do you think will happen ? If it helps he goes to a UK non selective school

  If it didn't happen on school grounds then no he won't get suspended. Whatever we do outside school shouldn't be their concern. These boys from my brother's school tried to beat him up once, my mother went to the school but said it wasn't their problem since it didn't happen on school grounds.
