What's the difference between a Real Estate Developer & an Architect. ?

  • those are two out of the three majors i'm thinking about, and i was wondering if someone could explain the main difference and who makes the bigger salary like who gets paid more ? and i know it depends on where you live on how much you make as an architect, well as an architect in new york how much could you make ? and who makes more an architect or real estate developer ?

    an architect designs buildings. real estate developer gets the land and plans out a shopping center, subdivision etc. In this economy there isn't much new real estate going on

Real estate developer is like Daddy Warbucks. They funds to purchase the land. But many other people would be involved to subdivide the plots. You would also need a licensed Surveyor, etc.

Architect makes the houses. Real Estate Developer develops the houses but doesn't make them.
