How long should i study for the SAT everyday?

How can i study words for the SAT?

  • how can i study words for the SAT? i already have a few lists of them. i mean, what should i do? memorize them? just keep rereading them?

  • Answer:

The best thing you can do is use the words on your list in context. That's the best way to remember them. For example, if a word on your list is supercilious, frame it in a sentence: "The supercilious professor looked down on his students." As you can imagine, 'supercilious' means haughty or arrogantly superior. When you write these sentences, you internalize the meanings. As you read the sentences, you'll be able to infer the meaning of the word. As you learn the words, incorporate them into your everyday life. You'll sound a little silly (or incredibly smart, who knows?) but it's a great way to learn these words!

The best way to learn new words is to read. But if you are limited in time, memorizing vocabulary and breaking them down by their roots (Latin, Greek, etc.) is especially helpful. I believe the highest score possible on the SAT is now 2400...so the English is 800, math is 800 and there is a writing portion (including an essay) worth 800. Good luck! :)

trust the SAT is a joke man...its rediculously easy. No studying necessary. Think about the dumbest kid you know...he will score a 1170.
