How to join French Foreign Legion?

Good Idea to drop out College and abandon RAF dream and join the French Foreign Legion?

• I'm 17 studying sports development in college. I am in the 2nd half of 1st year, I have intended too do the 2nd year and apply for the RAF as a PTI (sports/fitness instructor). but I understand the waiting list is long as there are alot of people going for jobs in the British Armed Forces, the selection IQ tests particularly in maths really worry me (Grade E GCSE) against men and women who are probably with very high IQ and there are taking drastic recruitment cuts due to the budget slashed and I really don't want to work in the Civilian sector (fitness instructor etc) as I hate civilian life. Civilians.....-.- everywhere I walk I am disgusted. But that is a rant for another day....... The French Foreign Legion is also tough to join but I have a very high level of physical fitness as I'm an Amateur Boxer and train 6x a week and my general IQ isn't bad and I can improve it. I also hate living with my Mom as she is too protective and restricting to me I Just want to live a life of adventure and challenge. And theres also a possibility of me becoming a Sports Instuctor (PTI) in the French Foreign Legion later on (If I do not die or become physically handicaped) Ive always generally disliked the British Army and have no interest in the Marines. The RAF regiment I could join but you cannot transfer jobs to become a PTI and my only skill is the sports industry and as I mentioned earlier I dont wanna be a civilian. So should I just **** it, go for it, **** the British armed Forces and completley change my life. Abandoning my life long dream and my family and freinds?

  no don't give up already! you have as good a chance of anyone else ,why can you not not transfer in the RAF reg?? better to serve the RAF reg and not be a PTI than the french!, never abandon your dream you WILL regret it later on
