How do I get my italian diploma evaluated for the US college?

Can one get a GED by having ones current college credits and foreign diploma (german/realschule)evaluated?

• I moved from Germany 8 years ago and i did finish the "Realschule" there. I do know that this school is not considered to be equivalent to high school but I also have taken ~50 credits in general education college work. Can someone tell me if there is a way of figuring out if i need to sit for a ged or if all of these things can add up for a GED/ High school diploma equivalency?

The adult education departments of most school districts have diploma classes as well as GED prep. But, first find out what your "realschule" equals here. 50 credits is nearly an AA or AS, so you may want to finish that.
