What are the different levels of nursing?

What A Levels should I choose for Nursing?

  • Hey, I want to do a Nursing degree and am in the process of choosing my A Levels. I am definitely going to do Biology and English Lit because I love them. I really want to do Politics, but if that's not an option because of the degree I want to go for, I can live with that. I really don't want to do Chemistry (I hate it!), but again, if that's something that will really help me I'll do it. What other two A Levels should I choose?

  • Answer:

Maths, English and Biology (especially human biology) are the three most relevant to have. Sociology and psychology are also useful subjects in nursing. It's also a good idea to talk with the university you've applied to and ask them what they'd prefer you to have. I hated chemistry too and in 13 years of nursing, it's not done me any harm not having an O level in it.
