What is the difference of a pharmacist and a pharmacist tech...?

i'll be taking a class to become certified as a pharmacist tech. what i dont understand is what's the difference than being pharmacist .

Well the difference are pharmacist are like doctors and pharmacy tech are like LVN or Lpn. it takes 4 or more year to become a pharmacist while pharm tech only takes 8 months.
