How do I calculate my GPA?

How to calculate your GPA?

  • I have been to 4 different colleges since I started college in 2007. I went to a University my freshman year and another University my sophomore and I still attend that school now. During the summers, I go to summer school (at different schools back home) and take about 2 classes each summer. I have four different GPA, and I want to calculate all my GPA and see what my overall GPA is, because I'm apply for graduate school and they want all of my transcript and I have to have an overall 3.0. How do I calculate them all?? I need help please!!!

  • Answer:

Use your GPAs from each of your schools and each of the total credit hours achieved to obtain your overall average: Step 1: (School 1 GPA*Total Hours at School 1)+(School 2 GPA*Total Hours at School 2)+(School 3 GPA + Total Hours at School 3)+(School 4 GPA*Total Hours at School 4) Step 2: Take the number above and divide it by the TOTAL hours you've taken at all 4 schools. For example, let's say your GPAs at the 4 schools are below: School 1: 3.6 with 20 hours taken School 2: 2.7 with 15 hours taken School 3: 3.0 with 10 hours taken School 4: 4.0 with 30 hour taken Step 1: (3.6*20)+(2.7*15)+(3.0*10)+(4.0*30) = 262.5 Step 2: 262.5/75 = 3.5 Overall GPA You can use this article below to see how to figure our GPA, as well: Source(s): http://www.ehow.com/how_4996739_figure-out-gpa.html
