Be very cautious in pursuing any online programs. The for profit colleges are generally not accepted well by employers. Online programs in general are considered questionable because of widespread reports of people hiring impostors to take online courses for them. The online degree gets to someone who did not really earn it, since the impostor did the work. You can still take some courses online via a local PUBLIC community college, but they generally will limit the number of online hours that can count towards a degree. Online classes also lack the personal contact and socialization that provides the true college experience. The classroom experience allows you to make friends and learn in a more personal manner that is also more likely to be considered a legitimate educational experience.
