What is the Difference between LPN & LVN?

Whats the difference between a LVN and a LPN? Whats the difference between their duties?

  • Answer:

LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse) and LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) are both the same thing and they both perform the same job duties. The only difference between the two are just the names. Only the states of Texas and California use the the term LVN there in those two states. Here is more info about LPN's http://www.bls.gov/oco/ocos102.htm#nature
