Is My GPA considered good?

good, but "great" colleges are looking for more than grades;; volunteer, clubs, council member, tutoring, etc....AP courses are ++ pluses, & so are private schools cuz the GPA is higher than public;; the "name" of your school (it's reputation) may also be an ++ plus... good luck!! but talk to your counselor, that's what they're there for!! try calling a few colleges & ask them for some info to be mailed to you, but remember ya got 4 more years, things MAY change a bit...research will get you EVERYWHERE...

well it really depends on your ACT/SAT scores, if they're decent you should be fine as long as your not looking into way selective schools, they also care more about which classes you take rather than just your grades - for example an B in an AP class would probably look better on your transcript than A's in all five of your weight lifting classes (no offense to the jocks out there), but if you really want to know where you stand I'd suggest checking the school you wish to attends web site, most schools have what they call an index, where you use your SAT/ACT scores and GPA to find out where you stand and if you could qualify for any academic scholarships
