What the general classes required for international relation/affairs?

What classes are 'required' in public High school?

  • I've been home schooled and I'm a little " in the dark " about what classes are REQUIRED. I know in HS you can choose most of your own classes, right? But what are general classes that you HAVE to take? I'm in 10th grade and live in WI, if that helps. I'm trying to convince my mom to let me try all-out school. (I'm taking a class through the school, but I'd like to go there full-time and she's a bit iffy about it)

  • Answer:

u have to have the four core classes: Math,Science,History,English and also 21 credits by the end of your four years

At my school the required classes are: 4 years of english 3 or 2? years of math(alg.1, alg. 2, geometry) 2 years of history (U.S., world) 2 years of science (biology, chemistry or physics) 1 semester of health and 1 semester of freshman studies To graduate we need 220 credits A whole year is 10 credits and one semester is 5 credits

Several years of math, english, history, sciences. Also health. PE is not required :). Here in AZ i can choose like 2 or 3 electives out of 7 classes per day.

Graduation requirements are set by state law. High schools can add additional mandatory classes if they'd like. Generally everyone has to take 4 years of English and 2 or 3 years of everything else - science, social studies, foreign language, math. Your school may have an arts requirement. Many states have physical education requirements. You also may need to prove you passed a drivers ed class or else take one from your school.

With most high schools: You need all of your core classes every year, except social studies in your junior year. (11) You need two credits of a foreign language. You need two physical education credits. (sports and marching band count toward these) You need two technology credits. By the end of high school you need 24 credits to graduate. All extra time you can spend on fun classes and electives.
