Where to buy school books?

Where can I buy discarded school library books online?

• A teacher I work with told me that when schools close down, their library books go to a warehouse to wait until they are sold online for 50 cents or less per book. All of the books in her classroom are from one of these online sites. I have searched everywhere and can't find where to buy used library books online. So far I have only found suggestions to buy books from my local library, or have found random used bookstores that sell used children's books for around $4. Does anybody know of any of these sites that sell used school library books for under a dollar? Thanks.

  Most city librarys have one or two sales each year to raise money for the Library. We have a small book store which provides a work setting for eight disabled adults. When the library sale is over they donate the left over books to us. You might contact your local library and let them know you have a need for discarded library books and when their sale is over they might let you for free haul some away for them. It helps them and you both. You also can go online to: www.bookfinder.com, you would need to know the Author, title or ISBN number of the book. At this site it combines all the book sellers on this one web site.. The books are listed from least expensive to most expensive. Usually more than fifty cents however.
