What do you major in to become a teacher?

What major do you take to become a computer teacher?

• I'm in high school, and I plan on going to college to become a computer teacher and teach how to use microsoft word, excel, powerpoint.... and basic keyboarding. Like a computer apps teacher. Does anyone know what major I would take for that? like is it computer science? Also how many years of college would I need, and what degree would I need? Thanks so much!

  My college professor has a Masters in Computer Science (also the head of the computer department.) and she makes awsome money. (she told us she did.) You have to have a bachelors to be a teacher in my state. I would suggest a bachelors in computer science... but it all depends on what the college you attend offers. You should check into it by going onto different websites, and talking to different counselors.
