What do I have to major in to become an art teacher?

I am currently in a community college and my major is Liberal Arts. I've decided that I want to teach art while being a freelance comic book artist on the side. What would I have to major in to be an art teacher? any other suggestions? Thanks for your time.
Answer:

Major in some form of Art, then Minor in Education. You will need to go through an additional Teacher Licensure Program to become certified to teach.
