Which prolific Australian bastman retired in early 2009?

Stay in touch with former retired teacher after graduation?

  • I want to keep in touch with my freshman algebra teacher who retired in 2009 and he's kind of shy and likes his privacy. When I asked one of his friends who still works at my school if she could ask him if I could contact him (this was when I was a sophomore) he said through her "There's an unwritten rule that teachers aren't allowed to contact students outside of school." But he did say to her to tell me "Tell Justine I miss her and that it's good to know a student cares about me." He's moving permanently down to Florida sometime this year and I'll be graduating high school this June. I also wrote my college essay about him being influential to me. My question is should I even bother to ask to stay in contact with him once I graduate and if so, when and how should I ask?

  • Answer:

Yes!!! Teachers are people too! Whoever told you not to (the teacher) should die...............

Facebook is a great way to stay in touch, and impersonal enough to be no problem. I keep in contact with hundreds of my former students with Facebook. Maybe you can look him up, or ask if you can add him? After graduation.
