What to do if I Got a D in a freshman year?

If I got mediocre grades during my freshman and sophomore year will I not be able attend a good college?

• I took a few honors classes in freshman and sophomore year and although my grades definitely weren't good, they weren't bad either. (My GPA has been a 3.1 straight). I REALLY want to pull up my grades during Junior year since I want to attend a good college. Will my sophomore and freshman years balance out of I get stellar grades, pull a high SAT score, and get more extracurriculars under my belt? I really don't have anything that gives me a boost or leverage except when I got an honorable mention in a state-wide writing competition (I'm good at writing).

  wow u have nothing to worry about depending on how high your expectations are lol. Take it from someone who was their but didnt know it lol. begining my junior year i had a 2.0 bcuz i didnt realy care about school my first 2 years. i didnt think it was possible to get my grades up so i hardly tryed and finnally i graduated with a 2.5 the only university i can go to in az is nau. Anyways what im trying to say is dont mess up like me if u do better your junior and senior year by getting grades higher than a C and always aiming for an A u should graduate with a 3.5 or higher. with a 3.0 to 4.0 you can go to excellent colleges and universitys, you just have to find the right one. Oh another thing if u took honors classes this earlyand keep doing it and your a good writer than you'll be fine and that will look good on your college application. That whole plan you have about your SAT and extracurriculars sounds like a good idea i would recomened joinig a sport or club so u meet new ppl i never did but you should. (: i hope i helped.
