How do you make a mix tape?

I plan on being a teacher, if I make a mix tape could it hurt me?

• I am trying to get into grad school and I want to be a rapper before I start my teaching career, could this hurt my chances? Would an administration hold my music/mix tape against me?

  Use a fake name if you want to release any music that might be objectionable. Students are very curious about their teachers, and with the internet linking us all together so closely, it's very possible that they could end up tracking your electronic footprint. This could get you in trouble with parents and administration. Teachers have been terminated because of the content of Facebook pages, so the content of a mix tape could be held against you. I'm a believer in creativity, but teachers are held to a higher standard than most professions, so you don't want to cause yourself any trouble. Be on the safe side and use a nom de plume.
