    Treat college like a full time job. Get up and go to your classes, have lunch and then go to the library or union or some other quiet place and study study study! For me, it was 8:30 classes till 1pm then it was the Library till 4. Work at the school gym, then Back to library after dinner at 7 until about midnight or later sometimes. I was not very smart, but I worked really hard and its paying off now. There is plenty of time to have fun, and you certainly don't have to do that every night, but if you get into that routine, you'll do great things and open lots of doors for yourself.

I recommend working on grammar and general writing skills (although, you seem to be fine.) Also work on time management, organization, and study habits. The more you're focused in college the better off you'll be.

starting at the end of your sophomore year start going on college visits. Meet with admissions, take a tour of the campus and eat in the dining hall. You will start to get an idea of where you want to go, a large school, small one. State school, a private school. we went to nine different colleges. My daughter loves her school and that makes it easier to adjust your first year go to the library and start doing research on colleges. stick to core classes. try calculus and physics. and make sure you can kick out an essay-you will be doing a lot of writing in college no matter what major you choose
