How to study for economics exams?

Teachers: I need some study tips please :)?

  • Hi, im going into year 11 this year, so the next 2 years are crucial for me. im not very smart i have been getting Cs and Ds i got 2 As which were in PE and careers, and 1 B in science- so science isnt really a problem for me. My Ds were in Maths and Sose (geography- C, politics and law- D, economics- D, history- C) my Cs were then in english, forensics, health etc I really need some good study tips , i have learning problems and it is very hard for me to take notes during class because the teacher is always going to fast for me and i cant get it all down. Does anyone have any good tips for me to at least pass this year? Im really wanting to impress my teachers and parents with my attitude. My subjects for this year are: Maths (lowest) English (lowest) Geography PE Studies Photography & Human Biology. Has anyone done these subjects and have any tips on revision? for like exams and stuff because we've got our exams this year! Thankyou!

Read this article for studying for tests http://www.ehow.com/how_5430461_remember-study.html (to help you remember the information better) and this one for taking tests (it will help raise your test grades) http://www.ehow.com/how_4835027_tests.html. Also, talk to the other students in your class and see if you can share notes.

Have you shared the information about not being able to take notes fast with your teachers? Maybe they will allow you to record the lectures so that you can review them at night.

For mathematics, I suggest you review the material you do not understand. It may seem like a lot, but the harder you try and more time you spend with it the better you will understand it. Seek help from your teacher when you need it or perhaps seek help from another student who understands. Perhaps seek tutoring after school? There are websites online that may provide excellent supplements to your text book (ie more examples, different approaches). Exactly what are you learning in "Maths"? I am from the US and it seems like you are from elsewhere... Are you learning Pre-calculus, Algebra, or something else? Try reading the textbook slowly and make sure you understand every step (my experience is that high school math texts aren't that difficult to read if you try).
