How Does Finacial Aid works with your classes?

• I am going to be a freshmen attending college and I need to know how these things work. I think financial aid is covering for all my tuition, but I am not sure how to use it. I am going to register my classes after the orientation soon, but when I register for my classes; do financial aid automatically pay for me or do I have to do something. If so, do I just go to my oreienation and register for my classes and that is it? What step is after that? Also I heard that I need to be a full time student for it to cover me? Also are classes hard to get in the morning? Usually before 3pm?

  After you do the FAFSA, you should have gotten your EFC in your SAR report. This SAR gets sent to the colleges you put on the FAFSA. The ones to which you applied and offered admittance will create and award for you. They will be different. You choose where you want to attend and accept admittance and accept the financikal aid you want that they offered. If you accepted federal aid loans like Staffords, Perkins etc. then you will have to do some online entrance counseling to learn about the loans and then you will have to sign up for a MPN which you get a password and log in so you can sign online loan contracts and use use that the whole time you are in college. Usually you will receive your financial aid by semester, so half each semester on disbursement dates. Each college as a disbursement date before each semester where all the college students at the college will receive their financial aid for that semester in their college account. My daughters was about 2 weeks before college started. The college then takes out their charges for tuition, fees, housing and meal plan and then the rest is refunded to you if any for books, personal expenses, travel expenses etc by check or debit card whatever the college policy is. If you do not get enough financial aid to cover the charges then you would have to put money into the account and buy the books, personal expenses and travel expenses yourself or get a private loan to make up the difference. So you should have no problem with that.
