Can you get a student loan from the UK to go to Uni in America?

• I really want to go to America to study at University. However, since it's so expensive I was wondering if you could get a student loan from the UK or get some kind of funding which can then help to pay for fees in America? But then someone else told me that if you want to study at University in the US then you have to have ALL of the money before you go - ready to pay? Can someone help me out?! Thanks.

  Yes to apply for a student visa you will have to prove you can pay the tuition. You do not have to pay all four years at once. Look on US college/university web sites. see if they have any info on financial aid for international students. Purdue University in IN has a large international student population. as does Western Michigan.
