Scholarships for Military Colleges?

Scholarships- Can colleges deny you the ability to get scholarships?

  • I have applied to 47 different scholarships and so far I haven't heard anything back from any of them. I have a 3.4 GPA. I am a non traditional student that works and goes to school and I have F's from when I was younger that are always on my record. I work very hard but never go over a 3.5, so I am kind of depressed about that. Well, anyway when I look on my school website and click the financial aid tab it is yellowed out and it says that I do not qualify for financial aid. This makes me very worried, as I know that I don't qualify for student loans due to too many transfer credits (I transferred with a 3.5 GPA) but if you have too many credits they consider it unsatisfactory progress and you are denied student loans. I will have to call the school but now I am worried that I won't be able to finish the last two semesters of my Bachelors. I work on call making less than 9 dollars an hour when my retail job needs me and I am an accounting clerk 18 hours a week so I struggle to pay tuition. I really need a scholarship. Can schools deny students outside scholarships now, just because?

  • Answer:

If you get a scholarship from an outside source then the school has nothing to do with the scholarship. The school can't deny you receiving a scholarship from anyone, but it might be up to the school whether they accept the scholarship or not. You'll have to find out your school policies for yourself, not here on yahoo answers.
