Do colleges have lower requirement for international students?

Which type of U.S. Colleges give the most scholarships to international students (generally)?

  • Generally, which type (Liberal arts school, National univ., or state univ) give most scholarships to international students. And please suggest some middle ranked colleges that give a lot of scholarships to international students (for the major of chemistry and other sciences). THANK YOU :D

  • Answer:

While it is rare for an international student to get scholarships, the most likely type of school that would give them is a private school. The schools that are financed by the different states are the least expensive schools for their residents but they almost never give scholarships to international students. The only national universities are the military academies such as West Point and the Naval Academy. They do take students from different countries, but the foreign governments are involved in choosing them. The type of school that would possibly give scholarships are private schools. These are the most expensive, but the most apt to give scholarships. For instance, the highest rated school in the US is Harvard. It has a huge endowment fund and if you are accepted there you might be able to get a scholarship. The problem is that these schools are difficult to get into. You most likely will not find any school in the US that would give you a full scholarship.
