College scholarships and full time learning vs. part time working?

Has that changed? im applying for scholarships that demand at least your first year of school be spent as a full time student. I CANT QUITE WORKING. i have bills aside from impending school expenses. SO i want to be a full time student and still work part time. im a senior and ive been working at least 20 hour weeks on top of school and ive been saving. i have a fair amoutn of money and plan to take the summer off to apply to colleges, scholarships and work full time. i need to know the following: -what is a full time student -is it possible for me to work and be a full time student -what will happen if i get the money and im not a full time student but close (will i be punished?)

  Full time status depends on the school. It will usually be between12-15 credit hours to be full time. You can work part time and still be a full time student. I don't recommend being a full time student and work full time. You will burn out really fast if you try to do that. I would recommend working 15 hours at your job while being a full time student. For the scholarship, it depends on the scholarship you get. If they require that you be a full time student, and your not, then they won't give you the money. But it all depends on the scholarship you get and their particular rules. If you have financial aid, like FAFSA, then you HAVE to be a full time student. If you drop below full time status, they will take your aid away (I found that out the hard way...)
