Who can get a LULAC scholarship?

Can she still get a scholarship?HELP!! ?

• So my cousin in Elementary school didn't do so well. She is in middle school now and she was thinking she would try now and maybe she can get a scholarhip later on. My oldest cousin told her that that isn't possible. That she was suppose to get straight As in Elementary too, which she didn't and now she is screwed. I don't believe this though, I think that if she starts trying she can still get that scholarship later on. We made a deal that if I proved that she can still get a scholarship even though she didn't do so well in Elementary she would try in school. If not she will probably not do so well, because she thinks she is screwed. Please help? Is my cousin wrong? Can she get a scholarship if she starts trying even though she didn't have straight As in Elementary?

  Colleges only look at your high school grades. They don't even see your grades from elementary school or middle school. However, she does need to start trying now, in middle school, because the classes she takes in middle school, and how she does in them, will determine what classes she gets to take in high school - and that will impact her ability to get scholarships for college. So her idea of starting to try hard now, in middle school, is a very good one.
