Am I going to be eligible to any college grants?

I'm going to college and dont have a job anymore what grants should I try and get?

  • I'm going to school and don't have a job anymore and been on my own for a year now I don't have the money to support myself no more the loans aren't enough. My question Is what grants and loans I should apply for? What ones are most likely for me to get? I am also not sure how scholarships work? If you could help me out that would be great I'm 19 years old and a white male if that matters... Thanks

Talk with a financial aid adviser at your school. He/she will be able to explain all the types of financial aid and what the requirements are for each. Definitely complete and submit the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid - http://www.fafsa.ed.gov ) soon. Again, a school FA adviser can explain the application form and process to you. Your school may also have on-campus part-time jobs just for theirs students. Ask about them at your school Financial Aid Office. To help educate yourself, I recommend you to to your campus library or your local public library and find out if one of them holds this book: Title: Debt-free U : how I paid for an outstanding college education without loans, scholarships, or mooching off my parents Author: Zac Bissonnette Publisher: New York: Portfolio/Penguin, 2010 Source: WorldCat.org - database of library holdings worldwide If neither library holds it, ask one of the librarians how the library staff can find it for you at another library (Interlibrary Loan.) Read and follow the advice the author gives, from his personal experience. Librarians--Ask Us, We Answer! the ones you apply for when you fill out the fafsa. I don't understand, is this a trick question? LOL You get scholarships (usually when a college freshman) for having a high GPA and ACT/SAT score. You have to find them and apply for them. Duh

just not that

BOG waiver pays $1400 for classes, Pell grant is up to $5500 and first year Stafford loan is $9500. So that is 16,400., full-time (12 credits), half or three quarter time is accordingly.
