When do you know if your financial aid is approved?

Someone please take a look at my financial aid appeal? I need help.?

  • Everyone tells me everyone first fin aid appeal get approved and its my first please let me know what you think i need help. Dear Officiates of Federal Financial Aid, My name is, Student ID:, I am writing this appeal letter in hope that you will reconsider your decision and grant me financial aid. I would like to begin by thanking you in advance for taking the time to read this letter and consider my request to reinstate my financial aid. I apologize for the lack of attention to my courses in the spring and fall of 2011, Not only it was my first semester as a transfer student at UB and did not know what I wanted to do or major in, but I also lost my Grandfather who took care of me since I was 9years old back home In Africa, when both my father and mother moved to the United States to find a better life and education for me and my siblings. It really affected me mentally and emotionally because I was very close to him and was not able to see him one last time before he died, so it was very difficult for me to concentrate and do well in my classes. I did terrible in my classes and it affected my GPA really bad, that I could not be able to achieve the minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 Last semester even though now I know what I want to major in and passed all of my 12 credit hour. I do realize that I neglected my studies and I would like another chance to do better in them. I have compiled a list of steps I need to take in order to be successful in school: 1. I will give my full attention to school. 2. I will obtain a tutor for my most difficult classes by becoming familiar with the tutoring center on campus. 3. I will talk to each of my instructors personally to find out how I can do well in their classes. 4. I will manage my time wisely. 5. I will attend all of my classes to take advantage of what they have to offer. My goal is to earn a degree in Communication so that I can make a difference in the world. This is very important to me. But I can only do this if I can apply for financial aid, I cannot afford to continue higher education of any sort. I cannot express how grateful I would be to be given the chance to correct my mistakes and continue my education. I am a hard-working student, and I would like the chance to prove to you that my next semester will not be a disappointment. I will try my hardest to be good role model to my family and other students. I am serious about my future and I recognize that a degree is essential in attaining a great career. Again, thank you for taking the time to read this letter, and I assure you, if granted financial aid, my education is and will continue to be my main priority. Please take this letter into consideration and give me another chance to prove my dedication. Thank you for your time,

  • Answer:

you wont just need to speak to someone in financial aid you will need to speak to the director of the school and education to see if they will even let you back to class. maybe set an appt with the dean and talk about getting back in school.
