Could I get a Tivo for college?

Can i still get into a prestigious College and get a full scholarship IF I ..............................…

  • I just graduated high school ,and i already applied into a public college at my home town . The Question is : what if i didn't like the college ,which i applied to ..and before my freshman year in college ends ,i decided to transfer to a high prestigious college (like Oxford ,...etc) .... Would the prestigious college still take me ,accept my application ,and still offer me a full scholarship . or do prestigious college accept students only if they were just recently graduated high school ((new student )) right now i am only 17 ,and if i applied next year in a different college i will be only 18 years old . Addition Details : i am an international student ,and i wish (( if i regreted my current college choice )) to get in a good college in United kingdom or the United states . also : my SAT score is (2000) and my GPA is 3.5 (( so i think my academic degree will not be a probem )) EDIT : i want to go to Medicine school (( just so u know ..if it makes any difference))). please help guide me because i am afraid that i might regret my current choice, and then find no way out ..i want to see if there was a plan B . i am just so scared from wasting my future ....thank you very much . and please answer only if you were 100% percent sure of your answer because i already surfed the web and searched every where and asked everyone i know .....still i didn't get any clear right answer ..thanks

Have you checked out FastWeb.com for scholarships? It really depends on what you want to do. Since you are already admitted to the public college, you might as well just try to do your best there. Every school is different and I am not familiar with Oxford. As someone going back to school myself later on in life, one of the important factors is cost. The public school you have been admitted to will most likely be a lot cheaper then one of the private schools you want to go to. Just do you best in your classes. You might need letters of recommendations from the teachers, so I would suggest trying to get to know them and be a good student in their classes, so that they can be helpful to you with advice. Maybe you can get into the Honors program as well since you have the high GPA and SAT scores. Have you checked that out at all? Good luck!
