Athletic or Academic scholarship to a private high school needed - please help, urgent?
-
I'm a freshman girl at a small prep school on half scholarship. I have a 4.2 GPA and am involved in as many clubs as possible. I take all possible honors classes. I'm a varsity cross country runner, and my fastest 5K to date was 23:30, but I feel like I could drop it to 21:50 within the next month. I'm interested in applying to Phillips Exeter Academy, Phillips Academy Andover, Lawrenceville Academy, and Milton Academy. However, my family cannot afford the $45k/year price tag of these schools. Is there anywhere I can look to find myself an academic or athletic partial or full scholarship? I'm aware of the official financial aid thing, the PFS, but is there anything else? Contests/etc? Any financial help would be great. Thank you so, so much for reading and helping.

I did a little surfing on the web for you. I don't know if this will help or not, but you could give it a try. http://www.babycenter.com/0_how-to-get-financial-assistance-for-private-school-tuition_64647.bc http://www.scholarshippoints.com/10K/?st=1000&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=scholarships%20for%20private%20high%20school&utm_campaign=ScholarshipPoints%2B%2410%2C000%2BScholarship&gclid=CIPX5cPPt6wCFYtR7Aodmh7d-A http://www.privateschools.com/financialaid.phtml Well, I hope that helps. I know it's hard to come up with that much money. I think you are very smart in wanting to upgrage your education and opportunities that a private school can offer. Good luck in high school! ... I'm just sayin'

Phillips Exeter does not give scholarships, but we do have a very large financial aid program. Currently 45% of our students are receiving financial aid. You can find out more about the financial aid program at www.exeter.edu/financialaid. On that page you will find a link to the "Eligibility and Financial Aid Profiler" which should help you to determine how much aid you would qualify for. Best of luck with your search!
