How can I apply for real government grants?

I want to go back to school for nursing, how do i apply for federal and government grants?

  • I just got done with school and owe a lot of money in student loans. I didn't know about nay scholarships and grants I just thought there was financial aid and loans. Either way I want to further my education and don't want to make the same mistake twice. Where do I go to apply for these other grants and stuff and how likely is it that I will get them?

    Hi Cici, It is really simple. You need to go to the government website called FASFA. They will ask you to fill in your financial, tax return information, and home information. You have to apply to a nursing school first, because you will choose what school you want your information sent too. From there you will be notified what you qualified for. It will show if you are getting federal loans and/or grants. My next step would be go to that school's financial aid office and ask for scholarship information and other form of helping you pay for college.
