Is there a company that will consolidate personal loans with student loans?

$188,000 in student loans - help :(?

  • I honestly have no idea if ya'll can help me out with my situation, but here it goes: I am ASKING if anyone knows about a consolidation company who will consolidate over $154,000.00 of private student loans? My federal loans are not that terrible, I'm still in the low 30,000 with them. BUT what is going to put me in my grave, is my private loans. I have researched how to consolidate them, and I cannot find anything that will consolidate over 100,000. I'm a graphic designer. I only make 30,000 a year which blows with a BFA. But I'm struggling. If any of ya'll have any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it. Also, I don't need a lecture for taking out that many loans if thats what you'll post. My mom did all my loans and I'm just now realizing them. Thank you.

  • Answer:

Good Lord. I owe 50,000 in federal loans and am trying to figure out my mess. Unless you get one heck of a promotion, I would consider changing your name and leaving the country. Your monthly payments will be over $1,500 a month. Maybe a class action law suit against the school for breaking their promise of a good paying job.

by law you are only reguired to make 15% of your income in student loans. If you consolidate you are paying a lot more because of interest, and Chase might be able to do it. Why is your debt so high?
