Is 2100 sufficient for Ivy League?

I know Ivy League colleges don't explicitly give athletic scholarships, but do they offer athletes incentives?

  • I have the qualifications to get into an Ivy League, and I would also like to row at an Ivy League, and I know that it is an Ivy League policy to not give athletic scholarships, but do the schools offer athletes scholarships under a different category, in effect "disguising" the scholarships as academic, merit, etc? I do not qualify for need-based financial aid. I would especially appreciate answers from students and parents involved in Ivy League athletics. Thank you!

  • Answer:

Unless your parents are rather rich (combined income >$150,000) you will almost certainly qualify for need-based aid at an Ivy League school as that's the only aid they offer. They don't give any merit-based aid for anything.
