Can an AB psychology student become a pediatrician?

Yes, assuming you are in the USA. As an undergraduate you would have to take a year of biology, two years of chemistry, and a year of physics, in addition to doing the work required for a major in psychology. You may have to take other premedical courses as well. See the book Medical School Admission Requirements for details (link below).

You need to go 4 years pre med 4 years medical school and then 3-4 residency in pedieatrics to become a ped.
