Can I change the semester I applied for after being accepted?

Applied to University of Waterloo?

• I have applied to the university of waterloo around the same time as my friends and we all filled out the forms too. However, I didn't get an offer of acceptance yet but my friends did and we have around the same averages. I was wondering why didn't I get an offer of acceptance yet. Was it because I changed the order of preference? Or that this semester I have most of the required courses first semester (but one of my friends has most the required course next semester and still got accepted)? Also, we have applied to the same program.

  They might not have reviewed your application yet. The way they review applications is complicated and might be different for you than your friends. Just because you submitted it at the same time, doesn't mean you'll get accepted/denied at the same time. You won't know until you get a letter saying yes or no.
