What ESL abroad program is easiest to get into?

Which ESL (English as a second language) do you reccomend the most for an International Student?

• I'm a lawyer from south america with a specialization in marine business management, right now i'm studying Economics and International Studies (2 Bachelors degree more) i know sounds crazy what is what i want, in a few years i would like to get into the Georgetown University and other to get a financial master degree and a master of foreign service degree. The thing is that at the moment I'm improving my english at my country but i will be glad to take an English Course in the US to prepare better by myself and after that course if i can i would like to get a certificate of short enght period of time. Which ESL (english as a second language) or english department of one university do you recommend?I think that GATECH and BU are good option but i would like to get more options to take the final deccision. Also i would like to know which was the first ESL program university in US ad the most prestigious esl or english departments at the moment. THANK YOU

  Your written English already seems quite good. As for an ESL program you would take one in whatever city you went to university in the USA. You do not want to travel some place for ESL then move some place else for your degree. But if you did not want to wait that long, you should just go to an English school in your country where they have native English speakers teaching it. Then get some sample TOEFL tests and do them until you are good at them. As to what was the first ESL program, they were around long before they were called "ESL". There were English classes for immigrants in New York City over 150 years ago. In the mean time watch movies and TV shows in English and speak English as much of the time as possible in your life.
