How do you get a degree in psycology?

There are no Forensic Psycology colleges where I live. What do I do?

  • currently I am half way through my sophomore year of high school (some would argue that it's too soon for me to be looking at colleges, but I just want to be prepared.) For some odd reason, none of the colleges in my area have Forensic Psycology as a choice to get a degree in. If I take a major of Psychology and a minor in law, would that work as well?

  • Answer:

There's a very good reason why you can't find a college that offers a forensic psychology major: there's no such thing! To be a forensic psychologist, you would need a doctoral degree. That means 5-7 more years of schooling after 4 years of college. There is also no such thing as a law minor.
