How do i get accepted into NYU college?

I want to get into NYU Steinhardt for music. Do you have to have any musical experience to get into it, or can I get into it and study music without any musical knowledge? I want to be a singer and a performer, like famous, but I also want to go to college to study music!

Seriously don't pay attention or even consider Andrea's answer. You should show some type of musical interest in your high school career as well . Join the school choir and audition for state competitions, like they have in my school. (NYSSMA ) is what they have in my school and you should perfect your sight reading skills. I hope this was helpful, but I'm sure someone else will post a better answer. Also check out their website and consult with people who already attend that college.
