Can you transfer from a state University to a private college?

Can Gwinnett Tech College transfer ALL credits to Southern Poly State University in Georgia?

  • I'm currently attending GCC but I want to go to Southern Polytechnic State University in the future for my BA.A couple of people have went to the same school & told me they transferred ALL credits after receiving an AA to SPSU.I highly doubt this because my school is not recognized by any Georgia University School system(except the prerequisite & core classes). If anyone has went to my school & transferred to SPSU,please let me know if this is true.

  • Answer:

Here's a link to SPSU's transfer articulation agreements: https://banweb.spsu.edu/pls/PROD/wxfer_artic.sel_state Search for Gwinnett and see the classes that are transferable to Southern Poly. You can look up the classes you've taken and see if the credits will transfer. It even tells you what one class at GCC is equivalent to at SPSU. Info for transfer admissions at SPSU: http://www.spsu.edu/undergraduate/admission/transfer.htm
