How to become a pharmacist?

How can I become a Pharmacist?

  • I originally wanted to become a doctor, but my nauseas feeling from blood makes me a little indifferent about that career. So next best thing, pharamaceuticals! I love studying medications, and I often do it on my free time. I was wondering if anyone on here who has become a pharmacist can give me a few tips on how to reach that goal. I am kind of lost, I have tried to search on the internet but we all know how that goes, it goes to topics you don't even care about lol. So thank you for reading this and I hope to hear from you guys!

well it depends on where u live. if its usa/canada, then id suggest u find out what universities around you offer pharmacy. go to the university's pharmacy page and look up what their prerequisites are. for canada and the US i know that you have to take pcat < standardized pharmacy entry test (much like the mcats) and also have a gpa higher than 3.5 (depends on the university really). Some universities require 2 years of university doing "Sciences" before u can apply. They usually want you to do chem, bio and math. Other universities dont require that you do pcat. i think its generally easier to get admission in the US compared to canada. i am doing pharmacy in the UK. I am canadian though. i would say that getting admission into pharmacy here (esp if youre an international student) is very easy compared to US or Canada (and im paying as much as i would pay as an american student in the US). i hope this helps you good luck!
