How can I write my college essay?

How do you write an essay to a college?

  • Ok, so for school in my 12th grade english class I have to write a personal essay. I'm going to do a college essay because I might need one in the very near future. About a month ago I emailed the college I want to go and asked them how could I get accepted into the school if I do not meet the requirements and someone from the school replied with: "we might ask for a letter from you stating why you are interested in attending Nevada, what are your future goals and there is any particular reason your GPA is short of the requirements" The problem is I'm really not sure how. to write this paper. I want to be the a good paper so I that I get a good grade and just in case I might need it, I know to write a paper, but I've never wrote to a college or anything like that. I just need to know how long should it be? How should I word it without making myself seem like a slacker? Are there in website with sample papes? What type of vocabulary should I use?? Any help/advice is really appreciated.

  • Answer:

You need to BRAG to them about how you could affect their campus positively. Just give them a b.s answer like how you've grown up in a diverse area (since Nevada's diverse), or tell them how one person influenced you into become the person you are today. Don't go over the freakin top with vocab words... remember, it's not a thesaurus, it's about using simple, but sophisticated sentence variations to prove a point.
