What should I know about college?

HELP! trying to go to college but don't know what i'm doing!?

  • hi. i think i'm going to use my tax return to pay for a class or two at my local community college. i have a few credits there already because my high school let me go there for free for my senior year. now i'm 21 and i work full time and live in an apartment with my boyfriend. money is kind of tight but i'm getting about $1200 back on my taxes. the classes at the community college are $119 per credit hour. from what i hear most of them are 3 credit hours. i don't know how to choose what classes to take. i want an associates degree to start out with. nobody in my family has ever gone to college so i dont know what i'm doing. i'm interested in writing, animals, and psychology. does anyone know where i should even start with this? and i also don't know how much to estimate for books. my employer will reimburse me but i have to pay everything up front.
