Is 2100 sufficient for Ivy League?

Do you think that I'll get into an Ivy League?

  • I'm in Grade 10 right now, but I aspire to go to an Ivy League University. However, my parent's aren't poor, but I wouldn't dare dish out the price of an Ivy League on their salaries. I also go to a public school *sigh*, and I'm not in the IB program, much to my dissatisfaction I also will need some sort financial aid... I know that the Ivy League have 'deep pockets' to help students. I plan to pursue a career in Microbiology, preferably Infectious Diseases. Do you think that I'll get in if I have ... 4.0 GPA I haven't taken the SATs yet. But I'm going to start studying now ( in grade 10 ), so I have two whole years unless they change it ,and hopefully I will get somewhere around 2200 - 2300 + . Courses for Grade 11 and 12 : Grade 11 _________ 1 Biology 12 Honors 2 Chemistry 12 3 English Honors 11 4 Literature 12 5 Math 11 Principles 6 Psychology 11 7 Socials Studies 12 8 French 11 Grade 12 ________ 1 Biology AP 2 Chemistry AP 3 Physics 12 4 English Honors 12 5 Calculus AP 6 Dance ( this doesn't count but i need one 'elective' to graduate ) 7 Psychology AP 8 Human Geography AP Along with this I am qualified to teach piano from the royal conservatory of music. ( Gr. 10 + ARCT , etc ) I am in 7 clubs as of this year : Student's Union, GAP ( global action against poverty, Forensic Science Club, Book Club, the Arts Club, Recycling Club, and hopefully I'll be involved in more of them before I graduate I plan to volunteer involving science, if i can't do that I'll volunteer at the aquarium. Hopefully I'll get a couple of scholarship from various science / biology competitions throughout the country. Do you think I have any shot of getting into an Ivy league ? Like Penn State, Princeton, Harvard, Yale, or even Stanford, or Cambridge, or Oxford ? ( PS. I know that the last three are not Ivies. I also know that Cambridge and Oxford is in England ) If not what can I do that would better my chances at getting a scholarship into an Ivy or another Prestigious University, like the ones listed above ?

  • Answer:

That is very impressive, which do you prefer?, and Penn State is a total party school I think you are talking about Penn.
