Can I become a Geography teacher in Ontario, Canada?
-
Can I become a high school teacher in Ontario, Canada if I complete the Human Geography program at University of Toronto? After that, can I apply to teachers college?
-
Answer:
Yes, if you get your bachelor's degree in geography and then go to teacher's college, you will be qualified to become a teacher. That being said, the demand for teachers, especially in non-science/maths fields, is low at the moment and it might take you a while to get into a regular/permanent position, so you will likely have to start out as a substitute teacher.
