Medical Field?

Degree in Business or Medical field?

  • I plan on going to a community college for either business or medical field but i dont really know what i want. I plan on taking the liberal arts/education course just in case i want to transfer out to a university. Anyways, for business, im not sure what in business that i want. I started taking some courses in business administrative then i had to move so i dropped the course. As for the medical field, i spent the whole high school years studying the medical field i wanted to become a pharmacists but science isnt really my thing. Now, if i was to go towards the medical field, i want to do sonography or radiology (not too sure of the whole radiation thing). In the end, I know that doing both wont get me anywhere so, which one would be my best bet to go towards??

    I'd go for business based on what you said. You don't like science anyway so why go into the medical field only to want to do something else later? Health care is also very screwed up right now and can be very hectic. A business degree can help you learn the language of business and you can start your own business someday too. Business traverses all fields so you can still be in the medical field even with a business degree if that's what you want.

In the field of business, employers never ask for your transcript. If you claim to have a degree, they will take your word at face value. In medical, they do a thorough check to make sure you are properly licensed. so a medical degree could actually mean something. but they can be more obnoxious because you have to pass an exam after your program to get certified.
