What are my chances of getting into UC Irvine?

  • Hi, I'm an incoming senior and UCI has always been my dream school, so I've been curious as to whether I have a shot at getting in. I have a 3.58 unweighted GPA and a 3.83 GPA weighted, for my sophomore and junior years. My SAT score is a 1990, and in my subject tests I got a 700 and a 730 in literature and math II, respectively. I help out at church, I swim, I just started a job, and I am a boy scout. And also, does race play a part in UC acceptance? I hear different things and I would just like to confirm. Thanks!

You definitely have a shot, you are not for sure but you definitely have a good chance. and yes race does play a part. if you are asian it will be harder to go there. any other race you are prolly in for sure

I got accepted to UCI and will be attending in the fall! It was my dream school as well :) I had a 3.59 HS GPA 4.03 UC GPA SAT Score: 1720 I got a 620 for both Math 2 and Chem I had volunteer hours about 100, no work experience, I had president of a club as extra curr, as well as a few smaller things. I believe you have a shot at getting in ! Just keep working at it your senior year, and you'll do fine. Race doesnt play a part.
