Is it possible to do a joint honours abroad?

Could someone explain a Joint Honours Degree to me?

  • I'm looking at studying Scottish History at the University of Glasgow. It says in my prospectus, and on the website, "At Honours level, this subject is only available as part of a Joint Honours degree. Glasgow offers one of the widest ranges of Joint Honours programmes in the UK - visit www.glasgow.ac.uk/undergraduate/jointhon… for combinations." Problem is, that webpage doesn't exist. Does it mean that it has to be studied with another subject too, or something else?

  • Answer:

Yes, it means you have to choose another subject to study alongside it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joint_Honours
