Is it true that if high school wasn't all that great for you that college is way better?

Depends. I Loved Junior College! But, the University I went to was full of stuck-up Rich kids. In ways, it was worse than high school. Try to get a college that has kids Your class. It will be easier to study and get help if they're not looking down their noses at you.

It's totally different. There is really no such thing as "popularity" or anything like that. It's pretty much what you make of it, you can have as much or as little fun as you want. There is a place for everyone.

I agree with Scientista. Your high school status (or lack thereof) is a non-issue. No one really talks about that sort of thing. There are some circles that try to hold onto their high school notion of popularity (ex. some-not- all sororities, fraternities, and student councils), but if you're interested in pursuing those groups, just take time to get to know their members and make your own decision as to if it is the type of group you would want to associate yourself with. College really is what you make of it. There are such a wide variety of groups, activities, and people to expose yourself to. I am not the same person I was when I entered college (for that matter, I'm not the same person I was when I left college!). Just be open to others (and yourself) and they will treat you with the same respect.
