What are my chances of getting into Villanova?

What are my chances of getting into these colleges?

  • The three colleges I most want to get accepted to are Boston College, Villanova University, and Syracuse University. I have a 3.2 GPA, and on PSAT, i scored 60% higher then most of my class. I don't really have time for clubs because I have wrestling in the winter and baseball in the spring. What are my chances of getting into these colleges? I heard Boston College and Villanova are hard to get into because you have to be extremely smart to get into them. I'm taking 2 honors classes next year to get my GPA at or above 4.0. What else can I do besides have a better GPA and score well on SAT and ACT(if I take the ACT)?

  • Answer:

If your GPA stays at a 3.2, BC is a pretty big reach. Villanova is a reach but not as difficult. Syracuse is a match. If you have a 3.5+, you should be fine getting into Syracuse. You should join at least one club--they often don't take that much time--and/or volunteer so you have some community service hours. And take AP/Honors classes.

Your application looks pretty good if you get your grades up, but maybe just try 1 extracurricular or volunteer at your church or something because that will go a long way at any christian school.
