What is a postsecondary institution?

Getting kicked out of college...do I have to report it to my new college institution?

• last semester, i began college and ended my fall semester with a 1.1 GPA,which of course placed me on academic probation with the institution that i am currently enrolled at. Well last semester i applied to another institution that was a better choice for the new major that i had selected and i was accepted. They accepted me on the terms with my 1.1 GPA as i had a severe family related issue that affected me in receiving such a low GPA as i am a perfect honors student that had AP/IB credit when i entered college. I wrote letters and gave a great essay so they accepted me. Well, this semester I am indeed currently enrolled and I thought I had withdrawn from all of my classes, but apparently there was one that i improperly did. So of course, I will have an F in that class. The thing is though is that none of those classes (the ones Ive failed will transfer over to my new institution). So I'm definitely going to be kicked out of my current institution this semester due to me not withdrawing compelely but do I have to report it to my new institution, even if the credits weren't going to transfer anyway??? I really don't want them to reject my acceptance as this school is my only other option. PLEASE ANSWER WITH HONEST ADVICE.

  If the new school knows about your bad GPA and they accepted you, don't worry about it. If they require a final transcript, they will see this anyways. I don't understand why you can withdraw from that class still. If you do it now, there will be a "W" on your transcripts, not an "F". Ask the registrar at the school you're still at about this to make sure if it's bothering you. Good Luck!
